The Dalai Lama, political and spiritual leader of the Tibetan people in exile and Nobel Peace Prize winner, had the following to say about the new administration in an interview with Dr. Sanjay Gupta, chief medical correspondent for CNN.

“They don’t care what’s their religion, what’s their nationality, they don’t care what sort of family background” they have, he said. “Basic human nature is compassionate.” While living in a society filled with competition and materialism can cause those feelings to be “dormant,” he said, those feelings can reawakened by becoming more playful in our daily lives.
His Holiness is a good example of what he advises. He laughs constantly and is even playful when he speaks about very serious subjects.
